Founded by Francesco Montagna in 1895, the winery has over a century of history in the town of Broni. In 1974 management passed to the Bertè-Cordini family, who retained the original name and developed the business while maintaining a focus on tradition and winemaking innovation.
Production philosophy
To showcase the historic grape varieties of Oltrepò Pavese through winemaking processes aimed at preserving the grapes' natural characteristics and to promote the region through tastings and winery visits.
Terroir and vineyards
Situated in the Oltrepò Pavese, the winery sources grapes from the municipalities of Montù Beccaria and Zenevredo; the vineyards are located between 150 and 280 metres above sea level on predominantly marl soils with clay and limestone.
