Winery history Lancelot Pienne

The family's origins date back to the early 20th century, when Jean-Baptiste Lancelot began cultivating vines in Cramant after working at local maisons. In 1967 the vineyards of the Lancelot and Pienne families were united. The estate is now managed by Gilles Lancelot, who took over the company in the 2000s. The house has grown while maintaining a strong sense of terroir and an artisanal approach to producing its cuvées.

Production philosophy

Vineyard and winemaking are focused on respect for the terroir: careful soil management, primarily organic treatments and low‑impact practices. In the winery, controlled vinification in stainless steel is preferred to preserve the expression of the individual vineyards, with measured aging before release to the market.

Terroir and vineyards

The estate and the heart of our work are in Cramant in the Côte des Blancs. The vineyards are spread across numerous plots that also extend to the southern slopes of Épernay and the Marne Valley, allowing blends between different expressions of the Champagne terroir.

Awards and recognitions

The production is described as HVE certified in technical data sheets and commercial profiles; no other official awards corroborated by multiple sources were found.
