Winery history Podere Fedespina

The winery has been covered in the press since at least 2010. According to family tradition, the name Fedespina dates back to an ancestor who reportedly foiled a conspiracy against the Malaspina marquises in the 15th century.

Production philosophy

The winery regards its vineyards as a garden and follows organic and regenerative practices, with careful manual work, organic fertilization and interventions kept to a minimum. In the cellar, it uses gentle methods and limits sulfites.

Terroir and vineyards

The winery is in Mulazzo, Alta Lunigiana. Its vineyards include clay and limestone soils; the Pinot Nero plots are alluvial, with clay and silt.
