Winery Taylor's Port (Taylor Fladgate & Yeatman)

Taylor's is one of the oldest Port houses. The official website records its founding in 1692 by Job Bearsley and the long continuity of management that has allowed the company to maintain a strong identity tied to Port. Over time the company has acquired prominent estates in the Douro Valley — including Quinta de Vargellas, acquired at the end of the 19th century — and has developed a tradition of varietal research used to understand and enhance the region’s characteristic grapes.

Taylor's focuses exclusively on Port wines and is committed to remaining independently owned to preserve continuity, know‑how and long‑term decision‑making. Vineyards located in the Douro Valley with production areas ranging from Cima Corgo to Douro Superior. The historic cellars for aging and sales are located in Vila Nova de Gaia, near Porto, where visits and tastings are available.
