Winery history Tenuta Luce (Luce della Vite)

The Tenuta Luce project began in the early 1990s with the meeting of Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi. Over time ownership and management consolidated under the Frescobaldi group; the winery developed a historic collection of vintages and, through subsequent acquisitions, established a modern underground cellar integrated into the surrounding landscape. Operational leadership passed to Lamberto Frescobaldi in the early 2000s.

Production philosophy

Enhancing Montalcino's terroir by combining tradition and modern techniques: respect for the soil and attention to quality in the vineyard, grape selection and winemaking that seek a balance between local and international varieties.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards located on the hills of Montalcino with a south-facing exposure. The microclimate, with cool nights, promotes slow ripening and preserves the grapes' aromatic character and structure.

Awards and recognitions

The wines of Tenuta Luce have received high international recognition; some Brunello vintages have been awarded perfect 100-point scores by James Suckling.
