Winery history Weingut Pflüger

The Pflüger family has farmed land near Bad Dürkheim for around 200 years. The estate specialized in viticulture in 1905, and Hans Pflüger bottled the first wines under the Pflüger name in 1959. Conversion to organic farming began in 1985. In 2008, Alex Pflüger took over the estate, which obtained Demeter certification.

Production philosophy

The estate views the vineyard as a living organism and farms biodynamically, with attention to soil health and biodiversity. In the cellar, it favours minimal intervention, spontaneous fermentation and extended lees ageing to express origin and vintage.
