Production is rooted in Queensland's rural tradition: the riverside site on the Albert River was first licensed in 1884 and the historic facility has remained associated with rum production ever since. The brand's story recalls the arrival of the still from the SS Walrus and, after periods of ownership changes and closures, the brand and production were brought back to the historic site where traditional distillation and local ageing are still practised today.
Production philosophy
