The story
Vermouth Garrone was launched in 1991, inspired by a family recipe dated 1912 found in a notebook of Pierangelo Garrone's grandfather. Since 1991 the brand has expanded distribution to several countries (Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, China, Mongolia, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, Malta, Cyprus and others) and in more recent years has also developed references and collaborations linked to winemaking (mention of the establishment of Tenuta La Molinasso in 2016 and participation in Valle Belbo).
Production philosophy
To connect the Turin tradition of flavours with contemporary productions of aperitifs and liqueurs; to value historic recipes (e.g. the 'Antica Ricetta' of 1912) and offer a range suitable both for mixing and for tasting.
Territory
Turin / Piedmont (Italy). The site and communications explicitly recall Turin and Piedmontese tradition.
Production method
For vermouth: production based on white wine enriched with infusions and extracts of herbs and spices (ancient infusion recipes). For liqueurs such as limoncello: maceration/infusion of lemon peel in alcohol. For the vodka (Jasna): production by continuous distillation and filtration.
