The story
The Islay Mist brand was created on Islay in the 1920s, with a history tied to the use of malts from Laphroaig to achieve balanced peated blends. The brand was acquired by MacDuff International in 1992 and, following corporate reorganization/integration, is now part of the InchDairnie Whisky group (operational agreement/merger between InchDairnie and MacDuff). Over the years the range has expanded with several expressions featuring different maturities and finishes.
