Production method

Formulation and production based on botanical distillation in small batches; use of a traditional copper Charentais still for aromatic extractions, working on distilled fractions and blends to achieve intense profiles without alcohol. Some products are made in collaboration with partner distilleries (examples of production in France and Italy) and some references (e.g. SPRZ) use specific ingredients such as dealcoholized white wine.

Distillation

Artisanal small-batch distillation with a copper Charentais still; extraction of aromatic fractions and assembly of botanical distillates, concentrating botanicals (2–5× compared to alcoholic recipes) to achieve persistence and sensory intensity without using alcohol.

Producer history JNPR

JNPR was born from the idea of founder Valérie, developed after a trip to the United States and subsequent research on plants and distillation. The project is linked to juniper (from which the name derives) and includes planting in Normandy: the first 60 plants were planted in 2020 and the project was expanded with 500 new plants in March 2023. The company is registered as SAS JNPR and has developed a range of spirits formulated from the start to be alcohol- and sugar-free.

Production philosophy

To offer credible alternatives to alcoholic drinks without resorting to dealcoholization of alcoholic distillates; to design balanced recipes using botanical extractions and vegetal distillates, prioritizing transparency, ingredient quality and environmental commitments (juniper replanting, initiatives toward sustainable management and consideration of certifications like B Corp). Products are formulated to be vegan and gluten-free when possible.

Territory

Brand born in Normandy (France) with production activities and collaborations also in Italy (e.g. production of some references in Milan). The juniper agricultural project is rooted in the Norman territory.
