Larceny was launched in 2012 by Heaven Hill. The name and brand narrative reference the historical figure John E. Fitzgerald and the Old Fitzgerald tradition: Heaven Hill acquired the Old Fitzgerald line in 1999 and later developed Larceny as a wheated interpretation of that heritage.
