Producer history Massenez
The origins date back to 1870, when Jean-Baptiste Massenez was a bouilleur de cru in the Val de Villé (Urbeis). The family developed the brand over generations: Eugène Massenez pioneered the distillation of Framboise Sauvage (1913); the third generation under Gabriel Eugène expanded relationships with haute cuisine and a new headquarters was built in 1979. From 1982 the company strongly developed its export activity; in 2010 Massenez joined Grandes Distilleries Peureux.
Production philosophy
To develop and showcase fruit eaux-de-vie and liqueurs with careful attention to ingredients and a strong connection to gastronomy: collaborations with chefs and mixology projects are integral to the brand identity.
