Plantation

Plantation was launched in 1999 as Alexandre Gabriel's project within Maison Ferrand to celebrate the different rum terroirs and promote the practice of double aging. Over time the maison expanded its control over the supply chain (including the acquisition of the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados) and, from January 2024, the brand began a global name transition from Plantation to Planteray as part of its identity evolution.

Highlight rum terroirs through selection, research and maturation; combine tradition and experimentation (blending, cognac-cask finishes) to emphasize complexity and finesse. The maison declares a commitment to responsible practices and the protection of production heritage tied to places of origin.

Production and selection carried out in various rum-producing countries (Caribbean, Central America and Oceania), with finishing and the brand's headquarters in Charente, France.
