The story
Twin Fin was launched as a rum line designed by Tarquin Leadbetter and produced by the Southwestern Distillery in Cornwall. The project originated from the idea of sourcing and selecting distillates from the Caribbean to blend and complete them with natural flavors in Cornwall; the commercial launch was reported by the trade press in 2020.

Coast-to-coast: combining the richness and tradition of Caribbean rums with Cornwall's distilling and blending expertise, prioritizing natural ingredients, experimentation and flavor profiles suited to mixing and casual drinking.

Production method
Selection and import of rums distilled in the Caribbean, with blending and finishing in Cornwall. Products combine pot-still and column-still rums from the Caribbean with natural fruit and spice extracts/aromas; in some cases a Pedro Ximénez finish and ageing on charred oak chips are used.
Distillation
Twin Fin works mainly by blending: components come from rums distilled in the Caribbean (pot still and column still). Some aromatic ingredients are treated via copper pot distillation over direct flame according to published descriptions.
Ageing
Use of selected aged rums (e.g. references to 5-year aged rums in brand communication); some products are marketed as 'barrel aged' or finished on charred oak chips.
