Let’s talk about Amaro 6828 50cl - L'Audace - Distillerie Ferro

More questions

Amaro 6828 L'Audace presents a clear, well-defined aromatic profile: on the nose there are notes of bitter citrus peel, earthy roots and an undercurrent of aromatic herbs that add depth without being intrusive. The intensity is calibrated, the olfactory clarity invites a measured sip; there is a balance between the bitter component and a sweet note that makes the whole pleasant and not aggressive. The character is decisive yet elegant, designed for those seeking an amaro with a contemporary tone but classic references.

On the palate the sip is round, with a structure that envelops without weighing down: the texture is soft, the mid‑palate warmth well integrated and the persistence leaves a savory, slightly spicy trail. It works as a digestif served chilled or with a cube of ice, but also stands up well to more sophisticated mixes; it pairs with dark chocolate desserts or aged cheeses, always offering a dry, characterful finish.

The story
Born from Luca's experience as a bartender who deepened his knowledge of distillation through specialist courses, the project developed over several years of trials until becoming operational in Balerna. The company is described as predominantly family-run, with a compact facility dedicated to small-scale artisanal production.
Distillation
Small discontinuous copper stills; one-shot distillation for some London Dry gins; separate distillation for spice extraction; cold infusions for liqueurs/floral-vegetal profiles; double distillation indicated for Stein vodka; use of Carrara marble as a filtration element for the vodka.
