The color of this whisky is a deep golden amber, suggesting a long rest in carefully selected barrels. The aromatic profile is dominated by intensely smoky notes, followed by an undertone of vanilla and dark chocolate, thanks to maturation in barrels previously used for whisky and occasionally for sherry. On the palate, Blackpitts Cask Strength Malt reveals extraordinary complexity: the interplay of black pepper, roasted malt, and a slightly iodine aftertaste creates a unique and memorable tasting experience.
The experience concludes with a long and persistent finish, with hints of peat and a touch of sweetness that balances the power of the smoke. Presented in a boxed packaging, it makes an ideal gift for whisky lovers or a refined addition to any connoisseur's collection.
Blackpitts Cask Strength Malt by Big Smoke is a whisky that is not only drunk but explored, offering new nuances and details to discover with each sip. Perfect enjoyed neat, perhaps with a bit of water to "open" further aromas and make the experience even richer and more enjoyable.

Distillation
Combined use of pot stills (for single pot still expressions) and column stills (for some grain whiskey); some expressions are triple distilled; method varies depending on the bottle.
Ageing
Maturation in a wide range of casks with frequent finishes and double maturations (e.g. bourbon followed by wine casks such as Sauternes, red wine casks; finish in Japanese shochu casks on some releases). Many bottles are bottled without chill filtration and are reduced from cask strength to their house 'signature' ABV.
