Il Bolgheri Superiore DOC Maronea di Casa di Terra is born in the heart of the prestigious Tuscan production area, between sea and hills, which gives the wine a unique and aromatic character. This blend of typical local grape varieties, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, stands out for the harmony between structure and refined elegance. The long aging in oak barriques imparts olfactory complexity with scents of ripe berries, sweet spices, and light balsamic notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, balanced, with silky tannins that accompany a persistence of intense aromas.

Perfect when paired with red meats, game, and aged cheeses, this Bolgheri Superiore fully expresses the Mediterranean terroir with its richness and depth, offering a memorable sensory experience to enthusiasts of prestigious Tuscan wine.

Winery history
The estate's origins date back to a family-run agricultural enterprise in the coastal Maremma. In recent decades the Frollani family has progressively focused the business on quality viticulture. In the 1990s the estate began a program of innovation in the vineyards and winery, culminating in the construction of a modern winery in the Bolgheri DOC area, now open to the public for visits and tastings.
Production philosophy
A commitment to respecting the land and interpreting the terroir of Bolgheri: viticultural practices and winery choices aim to enhance the expression of local vineyards, reduce environmental impact, and promote hospitality and direct sales.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the hilly amphitheatre of Bolgheri, facing the Tyrrhenian Sea, the vineyards lie on soils with a sandy-clayey composition and a notable stony component. The proximity to the sea moderates the climate and gives the wines a Mediterranean character.
