Bourgogne Chardonnay - Trènel is a white wine produced in Burgundy, one of the most renowned and historically significant wine regions in France. Trènel, a winery that has earned a solid reputation for the quality of its wines, offers with this Chardonnay a classic and pure expression of the grape variety, representative of the Burgundian style and tradition.

This Bourgogne Chardonnay is produced using Chardonnay grapes selected from vineyards located in different parts of Burgundy, allowing a variety of terroirs to be captured that contribute to the complexity and depth of the wine. The objective is to produce a wine that reflects the typicality of the grape variety and the elegance that can be obtained in this region.

At sight, the wine has a light straw yellow color, with greenish reflections which testify to its freshness. On the nose, Bourgogne Chardonnay - Trènel expresses a delicate and inviting aromatic bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit, such as apple and pear, floral accents and a light minerality, distinctive characteristics of Burgundian Chardonnay.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a balanced structure, with a lively acidity that brings freshness and dynamism. The fruity flavors mix with a subtle mineral vein and touches of vanilla and butter, the result of a skilful use of wood, which adds complexity without overpowering the purity of the fruit.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with a wide range of dishes, from light starters to fish, seafood and poultry dishes, Bourgogne Chardonnay - Trènel is a wine that offers an excellent introduction to the style and quality of wines whites from Burgundy, making it accessible to a wide audience of enthusiasts.

Winery history
La Maison Trénel was founded in 1928 and developed as a négociant and producer of wines from the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, alongside artisanal production of fruit creams and distillates. In 2015 the property became part of the M. Chapoutier portfolio, which renewed focus on the quality of the Maison’s winemaking and the terroirs it works.
Production philosophy
The estate favors the authentic expression of fruit and terroir: it sources selected grapes, employs focused winemaking, and emphasizes regional typicity rather than overly technical styles. It also maintains a tradition of artisanal fruit liqueurs from Burgundy.
Terroir and vineyards
Based in Charnay-lès-Mâcon, it operates primarily in the Mâconnais and in areas of the Beaujolais. Some technical sheets indicate siliciclastic/clayey soils and east- to south-facing exposures for specific vineyards used for the Beaujolais Villages.
