The Etna DOC Rosso “Fumu” by Barone Montalto encapsulates the vibrant essence of the volcanic territory on the slopes of Etna, in Sicily. Obtained mainly from the Nerello Mascalese grape variety, this wine stands out for its elegance and complexity, enriched by the unique characteristics of the volcanic soil. The aging takes place in barriques, which provide structure and softness, enhancing the silky and balanced tannins.

In the glass, it presents a bright ruby red color, while on the nose it opens with notes of cherry, delicate spices, and typical mineral hints of this altitude. On the palate, it is harmonious and persistent, with a freshness that invites new sips and a slightly savory finish. Ideal with grilled red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses, “Fumu” is a sensory journey that celebrates the strength and refinement of one of Italy’s most fascinating terroirs.
