This unique gin is named after the famous "Fifty Pounds Tax" imposed in 1736 by King George II in an attempt to reduce the number of distilleries in London. Despite its historical inspiration, Fifty Pounds stands out as a modern and sophisticated product, produced through a meticulous selection of botanicals and a quadruple distillation process that ensures its purity and the subtle balance of flavors.
The aromatic profile of Fifty Pounds London Dry Gin is complex and well-balanced. On the nose, vibrant notes of citrus and juniper are released, followed by nuances of aromatic herbs and a gentle sweetness. On the palate, the freshness of juniper prevails, accompanied by a symphony of herbal notes and a slight spicy pinch that lingers in the aftertaste.
Ideal for sipping in a classic Gin & Tonic with a slice of lemon or as a base for more elaborate cocktails, Fifty Pounds proves to be a versatile choice for any occasion. The tin case adds an additional touch of sophistication, making this gin not only a pleasure to taste, but also to display.
