The Moscato d'Asti DOCG produced by Castello di Neive is a brilliant example of the Piedmontese tradition of creating sparkling sweet wines that capture the essence of the Moscato Bianco grape. This wine embodies joy and freshness, perfectly balanced by a natural sweetness and delicate effervescence, making it one of the most appreciated examples of Moscato d'Asti. Castello di Neive, with its history and commitment to producing quality wines, uses grapes selected from its own vineyards to offer a tasting experience that is both refined and satisfying.

Wine Profile: Moscato d'Asti by Castello di Neive has a light straw yellow color, enriched by golden reflections and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it expresses an intensely fruity and floral aromatic bouquet, dominated by notes of white peach, apricot, orange blossom and hints of sage, typical of Moscato grapes when vinified with skill.

In the mouth, the wine reveals its characteristic sweetness, perfectly balanced by a refreshing acidity which guarantees its drinkability and prevents the dessert from becoming cloying. The delicate sparklingness caresses the palate, accompanying the fruity and floral flavors in a pleasantly aromatic and persistent finish.

Gastronomic Pairings: Moscato d'Asti DOCG from Castello di Neive is extremely versatile, ideal both as an aperitif and as a companion at the end of a meal. It pairs beautifully with fruit-based desserts, light pastries, and blue cheeses, where its sweetness pleasantly contrasts the flavor of the cheese. It is also perfect for accompanying festive occasions or for toasts, thanks to its freshness and its ability to elevate the moment.

This wine represents the high quality and attention to detail that characterize Castello di Neive's production, offering Moscato lovers an authentic and pleasantly complex expression of one of Piedmont's most iconic grape varieties. The Moscato d'Asti DOCG from Castello di Neive is a celebration of the Piedmontese wine tradition, capable of delighting the palate and leaving an unforgettable memory.

Winery history
The estate is housed in an 18th-century noble palace. The Stupino family began modern operations in the 1960s and has owned the Castello since 1964; over time it has reorganized historic vineyards and renovated the cellars. Among the most frequently mentioned company developments are the enhancement of the Santo Stefano vineyard and the opening, in 2016, of “La Casetta del Castello” as a space for tours and tastings.
Production philosophy
It combines traditional roots with a modern approach: emphasis on the terroir and individual vineyards, separate vinifications for the finest parcels, use of the historic cellar for oak aging alongside modern technical facilities, and sustainability-oriented practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the municipality of Neive, in the heart of the Langhe, the estate benefits from historic vineyards including Santo Stefano, Gallina, Messoirano, Montebertotto, i Cortini, Marcorino, Basarin and Valtorta. The Santo Stefano vineyard is often noted for its distinctive exposure and microclimate and is mapped in the estate's historical records.
