Made mainly with typical native grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, this Porto is characterized by prolonged aging in wooden barrels that gives the drink an intense mature character. The aging process in wood imparts to Porto Tawny a complex aromatic range, made up of notes of dried fruit, caramel, honey, and sweet spices, accompanied by a pleasant softness on the palate and a surprising freshness despite its sweetness.
With a warm amber color, it is ideal as a meditative wine or to accompany desserts based on chocolate, dried fruit tarts, or aged cheeses.
