The Mulassano brand originates from Caffè Mulassano in Turin: the Mulassano family began a liqueur-making activity at the end of the 19th century. The vermouth recipe was developed in collaboration between Amilcare Mulassano and master distiller Pietro Bordiga; vermouth production was initially intended for service at the café in Piazza Castello and over time the brand became a commercial offering distributed beyond Turin.
