More questions

Galliano Vanilla is a distinctive Italian spirit that celebrates the excellence of vanilla. With its unmistakable golden color and slender bottle, this liqueur offers an intensely aromatic aroma where vanilla stands out clearly, accompanied by subtle notes of spices and citrus. Originally created in 1896, Galliano Vanilla is produced through a meticulous process that includes the infusion of herbs, spices, and, most importantly, high-quality vanilla. Its recipe remains a well-kept secret, giving each sip a rich and complex taste. It is ideal to enjoy neat, on the rocks, or as a refined component in various cocktails, adding a touch of elegance and depth to mixology classics. A must for lovers of finely flavored liqueurs.

The story
The Galliano liqueur was first created in 1896 by Arturo Vaccari; the name recalls Captain Giuseppe Galliano. Over time the brand passed through various international owners: acquired by Rémy Cointreau in 1989 and later entering the portfolio of Lucas Bols (today responsible for the brand). The brand's official site also notes the historical link with the production and extracts made by Fratelli Maraschi (today Maraschi & Quirici) in Piedmont.
Distillation
Distillation in copper pot stills with multiple extractions/infusions of the botanical elements; the process involves combining the aromatic extracts with the distillates and the vanilla extract.
