Grifu of the Pilloni line produced by the Silvio Carta company, is a fresh and at the same time complicated gin. A sip that you don't have to try to understand but just be bewitched.
Inside him there is a magical blend of sage, mastic and the crystalline Sardinian sea. A perfect partnership for a Gin of great charm. Transparent and limpid, with hints of sage and mastic, it offers the palate a velvety aftertaste and a rather savory finish.
Grifu is a local distillate, produced only with spontaneous plants of the territory, where the Mediterranean juniper (Juniperus oxycedrus) is a great protagonist with its balsamic and saline scents.
A fresh and elaborate gin, with long distillation times that guarantee a pure product. The aromatic component of the botanical mix stands out on the nose, with the predominant but extremely delicate scent of mastic and sage. The finish leaves in the mouth a light and soft aftertaste of juniper excellent to be enjoyed smooth or with ice.

Distillation
Batch (discontinuous) copper still distillation at low temperature; botanical infusions followed by distillation for the gins; selection of the 'heart' fraction and, for the whisky, double distillation/use of a copper still.
Ageing
Aging in century-old Sardinian chestnut casks (previously used for Vernaccia di Oristano) for some grappas, aged gins and distillates; finishing in small barrels for selected products.
