The Chateau Jouvente Graves Rouge is a wine that enchants with its profound territorial expression, emblematic of the Graves appellation. This red wine is characterized by a well-balanced blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which harmoniously come together to create a glass of refined complexity.

Upon visual inspection, the wine presents an intense ruby red color with slight garnet reflections indicating its evolution. On the nose, it reveals a rich and varied bouquet, where notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight touch of well-integrated wood emerge, a result of elegant maturation in barrels.

On the palate, the Graves Rouge from Chateau Jouvente expresses itself with a solid structure, supported by silky tannins and vibrant freshness. The aromatic persistence is remarkable, leaving a pleasantly spicy and fruity aftertaste.

This wine pairs magnificently with red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses. It is ideal for accompanying an important dinner or for being stored in the cellar to develop further nuances of taste and aroma over the years.

Hand-harvested grapes and careful winemaking. A range that includes reds, whites, rosés and 'exceptional' cuvées in limited editions. Commercial headquarters with an additional contact point in Paris.
Winery history
The estate’s website states that the site on which the manor house stands has ancient origins, with seigneurial use dating back to the 16th–17th centuries. The recent history of the project is a family story: David Gutmann developed a passion for wine and, alongside his son Benjamin, began developing the modern estate, which today offers tours and produces local wines.
Production philosophy
Production focused on respect for the land and people: biocontrol practices, HVE 3 certification as declared by the producer, controlled yields and hand harvesting. The approach combines wine quality, landscape enhancement and cultural engagement through visits, tastings and artistic projects.
Terroir and vineyards
The domaine is located in Illats, in the Graves area. The vineyards are planted on gravelly and clay‑gravel soils; the property is described as being about 30 minutes south of Bordeaux and about 45 minutes from Arcachon Bay.
