The Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Torcalvano by Folonari is a red wine that interprets the classic character of the appellation with restraint. It shows a deep ruby colour; on the nose there are ripe red fruits, plum and light spicy and earthy notes that develop with aeration. On the palate it is structured, medium to full-bodied, with present but rounded tannins and good persistence that invites further sips without feeling overpowering.

It pairs well with roasted meats, small game, savoury risottos and medium-aged cheeses; a practical choice for convivial dinners and traditional menus. Serve at around 16–18 °C and, if possible, allow the wine a few minutes of air before serving to help the aromas open. The Folonari label conveys sobriety and reliability, making this bottle a balanced option for those seeking a characterful table red. Also suitable for informal and formal occasions.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
