The Porto Colheita 2007 from Caves Messias, boxed in 75 cl, offers a complex profile of medium body. In color it shows amber and golden hues; on the nose there are suggestions of dried fruit, ripe figs, caramel and light toasted notes; the aromatic panorama recalls evolved traits typical of Colheita. On the palate it is soft and enveloping, with sweetness well balanced by subtle freshness and polished tannins; the finish is persistent, with returns of honey and delicate spices.

It works as a contemplative wine or paired with nut-based desserts, aged hard cheeses and caramel desserts; it can also accompany dark chocolate in measured portions. Serve slightly chilled in small glasses to appreciate its complexity; once opened, store in the refrigerator and consume within a few weeks to preserve its aromatic qualities. Recommended for those seeking a single-harvest Porto with mature character and a harmonious structure.
