More questions

The Rhum Negrita Scuro 100cl is a rich and aromatic spirit that embodies the tradition of the French West Indies rum distilleries. With a recipe that carries the authentic taste of the Caribbean, this dark rum presents a deep amber color, the result of its long maturation in oak barrels. On the nose, intensely toasted and caramelized notes are distinguished, accompanied by hints of tobacco and vanilla, making it a product of character and great personality.

On the palate, Rhum Negrita Scuro releases a full and robust taste with nuances of molasses, dark chocolate, and a light spiciness that lingers into a pleasantly long and warm finish. Perfect to enjoy neat or as a refined ingredient for robust and enveloping cocktails, this rum is a testament to the cultural and gastronomic richness of its place of origin. Ideal for those seeking a spirit that offers a profound and uncompromising tasting experience.

The story
Founded by Paul Bardinet in the second half of the 19th century, the company built its reputation on the European rum market with the Negrita brand. Over time Bardinet expanded by acquiring distilleries and chais (e.g. Dillon in Martinique, Bellevue in Marie-Galante) and in 1993 joined the La Martiniquaise group. Today it maintains blending, aging and commercial activities across several categories of spirits.
Distillation
Predominantly blending/assembly activity; distillation carried out at distilleries controlled or acquired by the group for some references.
Ageing
Aging in casks for eaux-de-vie and brandy; use of ex-bourbon barrels documented for some rum expressions (e.g. Añejo Reserve).
