Let’s talk about Rhum St.Etienne Hse Agricole Blanc 70cl

More questions

This Rhum Agricole Blanc from St.Etienne, produced on the picturesque island of Martinique, is a distilled spirit that celebrates the pure expression of sugar cane. With an alcohol content of 50%, this rhum is made through the fermentation and distillation of fresh sugar cane juice, in contrast to traditional rums made from molasses. This process imparts to Rhum Agricole a distinctive and intensely fresh aromatic profile.

Visually, St.Etienne HSE Agricole Blanc appears colorless and crystalline. On the nose, it presents an explosion of fresh aromas, with dominant notes of fresh sugar cane and a slight floral tone. On the palate, the taste is clean and powerful, enriched by a slightly peppery aftertaste and a long, persistent finish that echoes the natural flavors of fresh cane.

Perfect to enjoy neat, on the rocks, or as a base for sophisticated cocktails, this rhum is ideal for those who wish to explore the authentic and vibrant nuances of Martinique. A must for lovers of high-quality spirits looking for an intense and memorable tasting experience.

The story
Habitation Saint-Étienne has origins tied to an old 19th-century sugar works; the company took the name Saint-Étienne after its purchase by Amédée Aubéry in 1882, who established a distillery there. During the 20th century the property passed to the Simonnet family; the original distillery closed at the end of the 1980s. In the 1990s the brand was relaunched by the current owners (Hayot group) and commercial production of Saint‑Étienne (HSE) rhums is now carried out with the support of Distillerie du Simon, while the habitation is undergoing restoration and enhancement as local heritage.

Ageing
For the whites: controlled maturation and gradual reductions; for amber and aged rhums: ageing in wooden casks with minimum durations for the Vieux/VSOP/XO categories; use of finishes in different types of casks for some special editions.
