Ploner's Riesling is a white wine characterized by refined elegance and a vibrant acidity, typical of Riesling wines. Originating from renowned wine regions, this wine is the result of a meticulous selection of grapes, grown in vineyards that benefit from an ideal climate and soil suited to enhance the unique qualities of this variety.

On the nose, Ploner’s Riesling offers a complex and intoxicating bouquet, with notes of green apple, white peach, and subtle traces of minerals. Nuances of white flowers can also be discerned, adding a touch of freshness and lightness to the wine’s aromatic profile.

On the palate, it has a balanced structure and a notable persistence. The entry is soft, almost silky, followed by a lively acidity that stimulates the palate, leading to a long and pleasantly fruity finish. The mineral presence is also felt in the flavor, giving the wine a pleasant complexity and excellent drinkability.

Ploner's Riesling is ideal as an aperitif, but also pairs beautifully with fish dishes, seafood, and Asian cuisine, thanks to its ability to balance spicy and intense flavors. Moreover, it is an excellent choice for dishes with fresh and light cheeses.

For those looking for a white wine that offers both freshness and complexity, Ploner's Riesling represents a winning choice. With its natural elegance and rich varietal expression, it is poised to satisfy both novices and the most demanding connoisseurs.

Winery history
Plonerhof was born from the conversion of an old farmhouse into a vineyard, led by the Tutzer family. The first bottling trials date back to the 2010s, with production consolidating in the early years of the following decade. The estate combines the owners' vine-nursery expertise with direct vineyard management, developing over the years an identity focused on low yields, clonal selection and quality wines.
Production philosophy
Vineyards are cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, employing minimal interventions and a strong emphasis on manual work; at the winery the focus is on careful grape handling and a calibrated aging regime that highlights varietal and terroir characteristics. The estate has also undertaken projects on resistant grape varieties and clonal selection.
Terroir and vineyards
Marlengo hill: sandy-clay soils with occurrences of granite, schist and gneiss; vineyards on the valley-facing slopes with steep gradients, which promote a marked diurnal temperature range and the aromatic ripening of the grapes.
Awards and recognitions
Mentions and awards for some wines: the winery's Solaris has been awarded or mentioned in PIWI contexts; the Pinot Noir is positively mentioned in specialist guides and rankings.
