The story
Born as a blending project active since the early 2020s, Woven has established itself as an independent blending studio based in Leith, Edinburgh. The activity developed through numbered editions (Experience) and collaborations with producers and coffee roasters, offering both traditional blends and 'borderless' interpretations of whisky.
Ageing
Woven uses components already aged/finished in casks; releases employ distillates with different maturations and finishes (e.g. sherry-seasoned, red-wine finishes and other cask types), which are then integrated into the blend and left to 'marry' for a defined period.
