The story
The Bumbu brand was launched by Sovereign Brands in the late 2010s (first commercial distribution from 2016). Production method
Bumbu uses blends of rums distilled and aged in the Caribbean and Central America; the Original version is produced and bottled in Barbados, while XO (and some other expressions) are produced/distilled and aged in Panama. Production involves barrel aging, assemblage (blending) of rums from different origins, addition of natural flavors/spices for the spiced expressions, and bottling at controlled alcohol levels for drinkability and mixability. Ageing
