The story
Lunazul originates from the Beckmann family tradition, which operates the Tierra de Agaves estate in Tequila, Jalisco. The brand site highlights the leadership of family members (including Jorge Beckmann) and the role of Master Tequilero Francisco Quijano. Heaven Hill Brands acts as commercial partner and distributor and has collaborated with Tierra de Agaves over time on brand development, joint ventures, marketing and the launch of new expressions.
Production philosophy
To produce authentic, accessible tequilas while preserving artisanal practices and family ties: hand cultivation and harvesting of the plants, on‑estate processing and process control to ensure consistency and quality across expressions.

Production method
Piñas are grown on the red soils of Jalisco, hand‑harvested by jimadors, slowly cooked, milled and fermented with a family yeast strain. Distillation is carried out twice in custom cognac‑style stills. Aged expressions are finished in charred white oak barrels (ex‑bourbon); some Cristalino variants undergo specific filtration processes to clarify the spirit.
