The story
The Illusionist project originated in Munich (Glockenbachviertel) around 2015; the founders (including Tim Steglich and Max Muggenthaler) developed the recipe and later began production in Bavaria, at the facility registered as The Illusionist Distillery GmbH in Hohenbrunn. Over time the brand grew through international distributors and retailers and expanded its range with special editions and variants.
Production philosophy
To produce artisanal, surprising gins using selected organic botanicals, small-batch production and an aesthetic designed for theatrical as well as sensory impact. The brand focuses on ingredient quality, controlled production and the element of 'wonder' associated with the product.

Production method
Small-batch production; alcohol base from organic cereal distillate (wheat distillate); distillation in a discontinuous copper pot still with extraction of the botanicals; the blue flower (butterfly pea) is used to provide the colour and chromatic effect, applied after distillation according to available technical information. No cask maturation is declared for the main gin.
