The story
The company is located on the eponymous Worthy Park Estate (Lluidas Vale, St. Catherine) with documentation of ownership dating back to 1670 and the first recorded rum production in 1741. Sugar/rum operations were interrupted in the 20th century (rum production ceased in the 1960s) and modern distillation was relaunched in the 21st century with the reopening and investments of the owning group, leading to new commercial releases and a single‑estate line.
Production philosophy
Emphasise the single‑estate concept through integrated control of raw material (cane/sugar mill) and production, focusing on representative Jamaican pot‑still distillates and bottlings that reflect the company's unified origin.
Territory
Lluidas Vale / Ewarton, Parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica
Production method
On‑site production using raw material sourced from the estate/refinery; distillation mainly in copper pot‑stills; some products are blends of unaged and aged distillates. Aged bottlings are matured primarily in ex‑bourbon American oak barrels and some editions undergo double maturation in Port, Madeira or Sherry casks.
Distillation
Pot‑still distillation (copper pot‑still, 100% copper pot‑still)
Ageing
Tropical on‑site aging, mainly in once-used American oak ex‑bourbon barrels; some editions receive double maturation in Port, Madeira or Sherry casks.
