Winery based in Canale (CN), founded in 1950 and run by the Faccenda family; owns about 50 hectares across Roero and the Langhe and produces, among others, the Barolo DOCG «Rocche di Castelletto» from Nebbiolo vineyards in Monforte d'Alba.
Founded in 1950 (Faccenda family). Today run by brothers Enrico and Marco Faccenda; the estate owns about 50 hectares of vineyards and a holding of roughly 5 hectares in Monforte d'Alba.
Production philosophy
Balance of tradition and innovation, respect for the land and tailored winemaking: cryomaceration for whites, extended macerations for reds, ageing in large Slavonian casks and French barriques; ageing also carried out in an underground cellar.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards across Roero and the Langhe (Canale, Vezza d’Alba, Castellinaldo d’Alba, Barbaresco) with an estate in Monforte d’Alba; the Barolo «Rocche di Castelletto» is sourced from the Castelletto cru in Monforte, on clay-limestone soils at about 400 m asl.
