Cantina Zavalloni Farm
The Zavalloni Stefano winery was born in Madonna dell'Olivo, immersed in the rich hills that dominate that territory, in the province of Cesena. Today at the helm of the company we find the sixth generation of the Zavalloni family, an ancient family tradition of Romagna farmers with a passion for wine production since the mid-19th century.
The Zavalloni vineyards are cultivated in an area influenced by the proximity to the Adriatic Sea, which brings its beneficial effects to the grapes through a basically dry ventilated macroclimate that prevents mold or other diseases from taking root.
The winery cultivates and produces typical varieties of the Romagna area on 11 hectares of owned vineyards, on medium-textured soils with a prevalence of clay, perfect for the production of high quality wines. The farm cultivates varieties of typical Romagna vines including Albana, which gives rise to white wines, but above all Sangiovese di Romagna, from which its red wine labels are born.
The cultivation follows an ancient wine tradition combined with modern winemaking technologies, to produce high quality wines with an excellent quality-price ratio. The winery is managed with dedication by Fabio Zavalloni and his son Stefano, who manage the vineyards by successfully practicing an integrated pest management system.
