Winery history Alberelli di Giodo

Alberelli di Giodo originated as a project connected to Podere Giodo and to Carlo Ferrini’s experiences on Etna. The first documented vintage is 2016. The name refers to small parcels of old bush-trained vines on the volcano’s slopes, harvested and vinified under the project’s label.

Production philosophy

Seeking to express the Etna terroir through bush-trained vines, low yields and winemaking designed to preserve mineral freshness and varietal character. The approach prioritizes grape quality and the expression of the volcanic soil over intensive production.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, on black volcanic soils rich in pumice. The altitudes reported in official materials vary by parcel.

Awards and recognitions

The wine has received high ratings from critics and publications.
