Winery history Champagne Bardiau

The Bardiau family has been growing vines in the Ource valley for generations. The current in-house production project was launched by Jérémy Bardiau around 2015. The estate has developed as an artisanal operation focused on the specific characteristics of the individual vineyards in the southern Côte des Bar.

Production philosophy

Artisanal, low-intervention approach: agronomic practices aimed at reducing pesticides, fermentations often entrusted to indigenous yeasts, and winemaking designed to highlight the character of each cru. The stated goal is to achieve clear expressions of the terroir with minimal intervention in the cellar.

Terroir and vineyards

Verpillières‑sur‑Ource, in the southern part of the Côte des Bar. The estate's soils include calcareous formations and areas of Kimmeridgian, aspects regarded as decisive for the wines' freshness and minerality.
