Winery history Casa D'Ambra

Founded by the D'Ambra family in the 19th century, the company grew from an initial bulk wine trade into a winery recognized for the wines of Ischia. Ownership has remained with the family, and it developed a production facility in Panza, preserving its ties to local traditions and promoting the island's viticulture.

Production philosophy

It combines respect for traditional practices with research and innovation: the goal is to express Ischia's terroir through local grape varieties, techniques that showcase the volcanic soils, and wine tourism experiences that convey the island's winemaking culture.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located in Forio on the island of Ischia, on volcanic soils and green tuff with sea-influenced exposure. The estate manages vineyards in areas of the island long recognised for their suitability to viticulture, including Tenuta Calitto in Panza.

Awards and recognitions

The winery and some of its wines have been repeatedly mentioned in guides and competitions: recognitions and evaluations from Vitae, Slow Food and Gambero Rosso, as well as awards in national and international contests, are listed in the company's "Recognitions" section.
