Winery history Château de Rochemorin

The origins of the estate date back to the 16th–17th centuries, with vineyard plantings in the Martillac area; in the 18th century the property was linked to the family of Charles-Louis de Secondat, Baron de Montesquieu. After periods of decline in the 20th century, the estate was purchased and revitalized by André Lurton in 1973, who restructured the vineyards and relaunched production under the Vignobles Famille André Lurton label.

Production philosophy

The winery highlights the diversity of terroirs and varietal expression: for whites it prioritizes the expressiveness of Sauvignon with carefully controlled ageing, while for reds it seeks the elegance and structure typical of Graves/Pessac-Léognan. The estate's modern image reflects a contemporary approach to winemaking, also oriented toward fine dining.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the commune of Martillac, the estate sits on south-facing gravelly slopes. The building features modern architecture, and the vineyard comprises parcels on gravelly soils with a clay subsoil and sandy soils for the white grapes.
