Winery history Col Vetoraz

The Miotto family has been present on the Col Vetoraz hills since the 19th century; the current Col Vetoraz estate was founded in 1993 by Francesco Miotto together with agronomist Paolo De Bortoli and oenologist Loris Dall’Acqua. Since then the winery has established itself nationally and internationally, earning numerous awards and developing facilities for winemaking and public visits.

Production philosophy

To produce exclusively Valdobbiadene DOCG using artisanal methods that respect the expression of the Glera grape and the terroir: careful winemaking, hand harvesting and the preservation of natural aromas to enhance the local character.

Terroir and vineyards

Located on Col Vetoraz, in the municipality of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, within the Cartizze zone of the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area. The vineyards lie on hillsides at nearly 400 metres above sea level, on calcareous-silicate soils, in a landscape recognized as a UNESCO site.

Awards and recognitions

The winery reports more than 250 awards. In recent years it has received medals and ratings from competitions and guides such as Mundus Vini, Decanter, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Falstaff, Wine Spectator and other national competitions.
