Winery history La Braccesca

The name comes from the historic farmhouse of the Conti Bracci. The property became part of the Marchesi Antinori family's holdings in 1990; that same year saw the first Vino Nobile di Montepulciano released under the La Braccesca label. Today the estate combines respect for local tradition with ongoing viticultural experimentation.

Production philosophy

Combining tradition and innovation: attentive stewardship of the vineyards, winemaking that showcases native varieties, and experimentation, with aging in casks and selected barriques to enhance the wines' characteristics.

Terroir and vineyards

The estate extends across the territories of Montepulciano and Cortona in Tuscany. The vineyards are divided into two main blocks, including renowned subzones such as Cervognano, Santa Pia and Gracciano. The soils for the Cortona Syrah are clay- and silt-rich, with a relatively dry climate.
