Winery history Les Terres Turones

The cuvée Les Terres Turones is produced by Domaine de la Croix Mélier, run by Philippe and Dominique Ivancic, who took over the estate from Pascal Berthelot and have worked there since 2017. The estate manages the vineyard on the Husseau hills in Montlouis‑sur‑Loire and, in recent years, has been transitioning to certified organic practices.

Production philosophy

The project focuses on soil-friendly viticulture and on-site winemaking: the domaine initiated conversion to organic farming and has been certified Organic since the 2022 vintage. In the cellar, fermentations with indigenous yeasts are favored and techniques are employed to express the character of Chenin and the terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in Montlouis‑sur‑Loire in the Loire Valley. The vineyards are planted on clay and flint soils over a tuffeau subsoil, typical of the Montlouis‑sur‑Loire appellation.

Awards and recognitions
