Winery history Cantina Perillo (Michele Perillo)

The Perillo family has a long winemaking tradition in Castelfranci. Production under their own label began in the late 1990s, when Michele Perillo started bottling and marketing the wines produced in the family vineyards located between Castelfranci and Montemarano.

Production philosophy

Artisanal, respectful approach to the land: limited intervention in the vineyard and cellar, extended aging for the most important wines, and production focused on quality and the recognizability of the Irpinian territory.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards located mainly in the municipality of Castelfranci and partly in Montemarano, in the Irpinia area. Tuffaceous and clay soils of volcanic origin, with vineyards situated on hills at elevations that are high for the area.

Awards and recognitions

The winery's wines and vintages have received favorable scores and mentions in wine guides and publications. The production is valued for its aging potential and typicity.
