Winery history Plozza

The business was founded in 1919 in Brusio by Pietro Plozza; in 1946 the company was among the first to market Sforzato valtellinese. In the following years ownership was reorganized and the Zanolari family led its modern development. In 2017 the Plozza Wine Group was established, adding activities in Franciacorta and the Swiss Grisons to its Valtellina wines; in 2019 the company celebrated its centenary with an image refresh by a prominent designer.

Production philosophy

It combines the traditional roots of Valtellina's heroic viticulture with an innovative approach to winemaking and packaging: a focus on quality, experimentation and a contemporary image characterize the offering.

Terroir and vineyards

Active in Valtellina with terraced vineyards planted predominantly with Nebbiolo; the group also carries out production and commercial activities in Franciacorta and the Grigioni region.
