Winery history Podere Brizio

Podere Brizio is a wine estate in Montalcino that, after joining the entrepreneurial network linked to Alejandro Bulgheroni, has undertaken agronomic and cellar interventions to enhance the local terroir: converting to organic practices and revising winemaking and ageing techniques to express the terroir of Sangiovese di Montalcino.

Production philosophy

The estate prioritizes agricultural practices focused on sustainability and soil health, fermentations with indigenous yeasts, and traditional ageing in large French oak casks to allow the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir to come through.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the hills of Montalcino, with soils of a sandy-silty matrix resting on marls and limestones, and a favorable exposure that contributes to the ripening of the Sangiovese used for Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino.
