Winery Selendi

Selendi is a winemaking project established by the Öngör family, led by Akin Öngör. The official website states that the venture began as a family-led passion project, involving international winemaking consultants, and developed vineyard plantings and winemaking dedicated to the Sarnıç valley.

Chateau-style production with a scientific approach in the vineyard and the cellar: hand harvesting, grape selection, fermentations in stainless-steel tanks with temperature control, and aging in French barriques. The winery uses Ecocert-certified organic farming practices and places a strong emphasis on sustainability and respect for the soil.

Vineyards are located in the so‑called Ancient Sarnıç Valley, at high altitude, in the Aegean region. The area is described as historic, with references to ancient settlements nearby and proximity to the port of Çeşme.
