Winery history Solemme

The family estate is managed by Catherine and Olivier Langlais, who took over the family business and have evolved its methods toward more environmentally friendly practices. From the 2010s the estate introduced organic farming on part of its vineyards and applies biodynamic techniques and interventions aimed at revitalizing the soils. The name "Solemme" is a play on words referring to the sun and the feminine figure, according to information published by the producer.

Production philosophy

Seeking the fullest expression of the terroir through minimal-intervention winemaking: fermentations with indigenous yeasts, no chaptalization, limited filtration and careful attention to the timing of dégorgement. Strong focus on sustainable, organic and biodynamic viticultural practices.

Terroir and vineyards

Based in Villers-aux-Nœuds, in the Montagne de Reims. Vineyards spread across several Premier Cru terroirs with varied soils that characterize the cuvées.
